School Visits!

Would a Skype, Zoom or Google Hangouts virtual visit inspire your students? Or a live, in-person visit? Would it give them professional insights into the writing and editing process?

YES!

I love to speak about my life-long journey, the process of how I research and write picture books, my love of non-fiction and creativity, and more.

I also offer two signed books of mine (your choice), bookmarks, and will answer a class letter.

Below are comments from elementary school teachers about the time I spent in their classrooms entertaining and motivating their students.

Please email Julie Ann Hartman at The Booking Biz for additional information.

"We loved meeting you and learning the interesting/creative backstory to "The Boo-Boos That Changed The World."  We spent time talking about those Band-Aid Photoshop images you shared with us and how genuine you were. Of course, we now can't wait for "Sonny's Bridge."

I think you have created some major fans. The students liked learning the editing and revising specifics you shared. My kids absorbed so much!!!!

Thank you for coming into my classroom and giving so generously of your time. It was an honor and a privilege to meet you. Bringing you into the classroom was such a gift."

"Barry Wittenstein’s virtual visit with our Arrowhead Elementary School 4th graders was the perfect addition to our Reading Month activities. His sneak peek into an author's life was a highlight for these kids and something they won’t soon forget!"

Some of their responses:

“He was really smart and interesting and answered all our questions.” – Trevor

“We even got to see a copy of his newest book that isn’t even out yet!” - Braiden

"I HIGHLY recommend booking Barry! He’s entertaining and informative! And when one of the kids asked him what he likes to read, he had books on hand to share with us! How cool to promote other kid lit creators. #kidlitcommunity at its finest."

We learned so much from Barry’s first two books, and I truly anticipate his upcoming titles. Don’t know Barry yet?

You will."

"The power of social media in education. @MrsLiakonis tweeted an author & he asked to connect with her students via Google Hangout. Great conversation surrounding writing, reading, and the background that informs each sentence."
